1938 Chevy Ute.
One of only a handful built by the New Zealand Airforce.
Using an imported Truck Cab and custom rear tray unit built in Christchurch.
It is a project requiring a lot of work.
It's rarity (one of only two in the world) is where the value is.
The original chassis and running gear are long gone.
The body is currently sitting on a mint HZ Holden Chassis.
It has a good running 230 cu/in Chevy 6 and 3-speed manual gearbox out of a '64 Impala.
The diff is an HZ Holden unit.
Guards are rough but fixable.
Include 2 mint rust free running boards.
There is no hood or side panels. (They were stolen).
Front grille panelling is good with 2 headlights mounted.
No original grille, but a custom stainless grille under construction.
I will sell the body only if the chassis and engine/gearbox are not wanted.
